Start Believing

What's going on with the world these days? Too much violence, for sure. With what happened today at Newton, CT, we can easily ask this question. When children are involved, the more questions come to mind, and no answers. Twenty children, aged 5-10 were gunned down at their elementary school during school hours, along with 6 adults, one of them the school's Principal. The reaction that came over all of us is of disbelief, shock and profound sadness. I for myself, so far away from the incident, felt so burdened and overwhelmeingly sad. Why? What's happening? The news talked about mental health - the unstable mental health of the perpeatrator, who killed his own parents and himself. I think it's more than that. It's evil. The devils are among us, and using us, humans, to commit these heinous crimes. We have to start believing in the realities of evilness. But to do so, we have to start believing in Godness.

Hopefully

All too often we forget who we are. We tend to be the person that we don't really know just so we can understand the other person in our life at that present moment. In the process we lose ourselves. For awhile, everything is peachy. We tell the world how happy we are. That finally we found happiness, at last! Hooray! Then at some point, you wake up. Just like that. Hopefully it won't be too late by then.
